Position Description:
Provide leadership and direction for the operational effectiveness of the Corporation Aggregate Division assets within the assigned region. Create and enforce appositive culture of safety and stewardship, challenging all employees to achieve maximum potential. Ensure compliance with all appropriate governmental regulations. Assist production managers in identification and attainment of appropriate short and long-term goals. Coordinate production activities to achieve maximum efficiency in support of corporate profitability and sales objectives. Actively participate with divisional managers in developing strategic planning for the region, assuring that long-term market position will be enhanced by appropriate capital investment in plant and equipment and by recruitment, development and retention of employees.
Responsibilities:
Ensure strict compliance with safety, health environmental, employment, management and other company policies, procedures and principles established by government agencies and Corporation.
Participate in all sales and credit meetings, ensuring that days sales outstanding is managed according to company policy by supervising and conducting collection efforts.
Assist in preparation of project quotes, bids and submittal requirements.
Direct supervision of employees assigned to the region.
Develop and implement labor management and inventory management plans that promote maximum efficiency and profitability for the region.
Develop and implement equipment management plans that promote maximum efficiency, production capacity and profitability for the region.
Support and supervise compliance with corporate QC/QA policies.
Assist in scheduling and supervising all maintenance and repair activities.
Develop sales contacts and leads, follow up on opportunities for sales and quote pricing for specific projects.
Ensure compliance with EPA storm runoff regulations for all plants within the region.
Develop, implement and document safety meeting plan in accordance with company policy.
Manage labor and labor costs.
Hire and discipline employees in accordance with company HR policies.
Coordinate project schedules.
Conduct employee performance reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

years plant management experience in the Aggregates/Sand & Gravel Industry.
Knowledge and understanding of OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of business planning and financial forecasting requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and practices.
Establishes trust with team members, stating clear expectations and accountabilities.
Recognizes group morale and acts to protect or build as necessary.
Ability to plan and think strategically leading to problem analysis and resolution at a strategic and functional level.
