Responsibilities:
Develops policy and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Analyzes hourly wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans at the site level.
Assists in projecting employment needs, develops headcount reports. Works in conjunction with HR Generalist for recruiting and staffing needs.
Apprises department managers and plant superintendents of company policy regarding site specific HR strategies.
Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
Represents the Company in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, grievance meetings, arbitrations, and other union-related activities.
Notifies employees and labor union representatives of changes in benefit programs.
Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations and prevailing practices among similar organizations.
Consults with management and health care professionals to evaluate the need for, and implement accommodations, return-to-work, light-duty, and other responses for disabled employees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
5-8 years of prior relevant experience in a human resources department within a heavy manufacturing organization with demonstrated increased responsibility.
Prior experience with all aspects of the human resources function including staffing, benefits, compensation, employment maw, policy & procedures, pensions, record retention, payroll and employee & labor relations.
Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
SHRM Certification
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
Exceptional presentation and training skills with proven ability to effectively facilitate meetings and present information to various levels of associates and customers within formal and informal settings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
